This was my chance to practice my editorial layout skills. It was one of my more difficult projects working with the details of grid. We had to pick a direction in which to take this magazine and represent that direction through layout, photography and type choice. I went for the fun, historic side of toys and their transformation through the years. I found different types of toys from the past and present to photograph in a way most people would not think. I wanted the type and grid to not be so heavy; therefore, I made it light as if it floats across the page. I wanted the colors of this magazine to be bold but balanced well with white space. This project was challenging but it allowed me to pay attention to details that I never knew were neccesary in editorial production.
