I consider Cork Candles my pride and joy of projects. This was my final senior project of Graphic Design at Samford University. I had the opportunity to create a product and brand completely from scratch, which was a blast. I combined my two favorite things to produce this idea: relaxing candles and good wine. My target audience was a higher income bracket between the ages of 20-40, mainly women who appreciate fine products with an organic feel. The company consisted of 4 different candles and oil diffusors inspired by the base elements of 4 different wines.
My favorite part was taking old wine bottles and cutting them in half to create the candles. Overall, I wanted the brand to be personable as I made the label look written yet clean. I designed everything from shopping bags to oil jars to match boxes. I got to take this logo and branding and incorprotate it in so many aspects of the company. I wanted the website to be simple and clean (much like my website design now.) My two favorite parts of this project were the candle/wine research at the beginning and the product photography at the end. I wanted this product and design to be beautiful, which I believe I accomplished with the final products.
